Press Release: Chula CRC is Pleased to Be a Part of the ACT Global Project

The Chula Clinical Research Center (Chula CRC) is pleased to announce that it has been given the opportunity to serve as a key coordinate site for the

ACT Global project, a major international research initiative for stroke. The project is supported by funding from a source in Australia and aims to be an adaptive platform trial using real-world data.

Being part of this project is a great honor, and we sincerely hope to collaborate with research networks both in Thailand and abroad to further improve care for stroke patients.


About the ACT Global Project

The ACT Global project, with the full title "A Multi-factorial, mulTi-arm, Multi-stage, Randomised, gLOBal Adaptive platform Trial for Stroke," is a platform trial designed to be flexible and adaptive. It includes several domains related to stroke treatment, such as:

  • Blood pressure domain (Enchanted-3)

  • Intravenous Thrombolysis Domain (ACT-WHEN)

  • Intra-arterial Thrombolysis Domain (RE-ACT)


Collaborative Network

This project involves a global partnership with collaborators from the University of Calgary in Canada and The George Institute in Australia. The Thai research network includes several leading institutions:

  • Chulalongkorn University (CU)

  • Neurological Institute of Thailand (NIT)

  • Thammasat University (TU)

  • Prince of Songkla University (PSU)

  • Naresuan University (NU)
